Afternoon Just Ice Junior Prep Skills Hockey Training

This program is a energetic 130-minutes skills training on-ice workout designed to help junior players train the skills and tactics needed to prepare their game for the junior tryouts and regular season play. The ice times consists two back to back ice times. One 80-minutes of skills training followed by one 50-minute small ice games and scrimmage training. Targeting 24 players with two shifts in the game format. And Three goalies.

A large part of the workout will use a variety of stations. There will be four group of 6 at times moving independently through the stations. Other parts will use lane drills and mast movement patterns.

The program will focus on agility, speed, battling, puck control, shooting and puck movement. On one day, one hour of the ice time will focus on in the moment video analysis…using tablets. The five day breakdown for the program is as following:

Day 1 and 2– emphasis on individual skills (skating, puck control, and shooting), one hour on the Tuesday will be in the moment video analysis!!

Day 3 – 1on1, 2on2, 3on3 training (body positioning, angling, gap control, containing, battling, back checking),

Day 4 – Combination Drill Training – lots of passing and flow (offensive zone entries, 2 on 1, 3 on 1, 3 on 2, 2 on 2),

Day 5 – Review and Competition Drills.
